6/21/2011 - Changed incorrect class splits in the manual registration form to reflect the official class splits from the Sailing Instructions


Skippers need to have their crew with them in order to get a wristband. For non-sailors, wristbands go on sale at 10 a.m. for $5 at the wristband table by the beer truck.

Kattack GPS Tracking Units

GPS tracking units will be supplied for every boat registered to race. Units will be available for pickup beginning 9 a.m. Friday, July 29 through noon on race day, Friday, August 6. Please pick up the units at:

The scratch sheet will be used to pre-program the boat names into the units. The GPS units are designed to be mounted with provided velcro strips to the stern pulpit (See example).

The regatta organizing committee will attempt to distribute the remaining tracking units in the vicinity of the check-in boat via inflatable boat prior to the warning signal of the race. Competitors are urged to pick the units up from Annapolis Inflatables to ensure their boat will be tracked as part of the racing fun. The regatta organizing committee will only be able to distribute a small number of units on the water.

Kattack will be at the post race party to assist in the collection of tracking units and race display. At the finish, simply drop the GPS units in the return bin at the James P. Muldoon River Center on August 7. The units can also be mailed to:

Sailors' Housing

Jamie Santiago is responsible for all housing and will have the information regarding housing at Sailor Check-in. Reservations will be arranged in alphabetical order under the name of the person that made the reservation (usually the skipper). Sailors will be housed in the Prince George Dorm or townhouses on the green or North/South Crescents.

Those not returning keys will be charged $50. Questions regarding housing should be directed to Jamie Santiago.

Bus Tickets

A limited number of tickets are still available for bus transportation back to Annapolis. Tickets are $25.00 each and are available for purchase at Sailor Check-in. The bus leaves from St. Mary's City Post Office at 10 p.m. and drops off at the City Dock in Annapolis. There will be no other stops. The Post Office is located behind the White House. Contact Jamie Santiago at or 240-895-2021 about availability or to purchase additional tickets after registration.

Shuttle Vans

Two shuttle vans will run throughout the day from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Stops include: the Waterfront, ARC, DPC, Campus Center/ Library, Townhouses, and Prince George.


Breakfast will be served at the Trinity Church Parish Hall from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. The cost is $5 for a small breakfast; $10 for a large. Trinity will also be selling breakfast burritos and coffee on Sunday morning from 6:30am-11am. The cost for a burrito and coffee is $7.


Governor's Cup merchandise will be available for purchase from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The campus store will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Food vendors on site will offer a variety of food including barbecue, ribs, crab cakes, hamburgers, hotdogs, and fish sandwiches. The Leonardtown Rotary will operate beverage stations from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Showers (for Sailors only)

Showers will be open in ARC 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shuttle vans will make frequent stops. Sailors must wear their wristband to gain access to the showers.

Cash Machine

The cash machine is located in the lobby of the library.

Race Results

Results will be announced at 5:00 p.m. under the Music/Awards tent. Results will then be posted on the bulletin board by Sailor’s Info following the ceremony.


Protest forms and alternate penalty acknowledgement forms will be available from the sailors' information table and should be returned to the table noting the time the form was filed.
