Career Pathways and Externship Coordinator
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Career Pathways and Externship Coordinator. The Career Pathways and Externship Coordinator will work with community partners, faculty, and staff to develop and manage the instructional classrooms and experiential learning sites. This individual will also provide comprehensive advising to students regarding the externship selection process and coordinating the externship course scheduling process.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree with at least four years of experience in a higher education setting. Ability to effectively coordinate with on and off campus placement sites to ensure expectations and requirements are clearly identified and met. Excellent written and oral communication skills, sales experience is a plus. Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and digital and social media tools. Prior success developing and delivering presentations, workshops, and programs, and eagerness to innovate and actively engage liberal arts students in the academic and career exploration process. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
