Director of Cross Country and Track and Field
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the 11-month position of Director of Cross Country and Track & Field. The Director of Cross Country and Track & Field is responsible for managing all phases of highly competitive NCAA Division III programs in Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field program which includes recruitment of qualified student-athletes; scheduling of contests; administration, organization, and evaluation of all aspects of the programs; and adherence to all NCAA Division III, conference and institutional policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, and knowledge of NCAA and CAC and NEAC rules and regulations. Experience in collegiate coaching is preferred. Current certifications in CPR-FPR and Basic First Aid. Must possess a valid driver’s license, ability to travel required, and ability to lift approximately 30 pounds. Excellent organization and communication skills. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
