Driver and Clerical Assistant to the President
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Driver and Clerical Assistant to the President. Assists the President’s Office and serves as the primary driver for the President of the College. As Driver, ensures availability to drive the President of the College when needed. This is a full-time weekday position with a variable schedule and late nights possible.
Qualifications: High School diploma; Bachelor' s degree preferred; a minimum of seven (7) years in a post-secondary professional environment; previous driving experience preferred; must be able to use GPS systems, maps, and/or other methods to determine the most efficient routes to arrive at destinations on time; required to have a cell phone; must have or be able to obtain CPR, First Aid Certifications; must hold a Driver's license valid in the State of Maryland and have a good driving history; must have a clean criminal history; must have excellent verbal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to collaborate and work productively with others; must be confidential, efficient, tactful, and courteous; must be available during non-traditional work hours during the standard work week. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
