Marketing and Publicity Manager
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Marketing and Publicity Manager. Responsibilities include promoting and publicizing signature and major College events, particularly those related to the new Nancy R. and Norton T. Dodge Performing Arts Center. The successful candidate will develop compelling marketing and communications strategies for internal and external audiences, disseminating them across multiple platforms including print, social and digital media. The incumbent will write, develop and measure assets that may include website content, video clips, social and digital pushes, and radio and print collateral. The position is integral in assisting Institutional Advancement with building brand equity and a regional and national reputation.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations or a related field are required. The candidate must have demonstrable evidence of communicating to targeted audiences, strong writing skills and experience with social media, digital marketing and video production that amplify a brand. Experience with the performing arts is a plus. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination; medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
