Office Associate II
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Office Associate II, serving the Institutional Advancement unit. Performs complex duties such as record keeping, budget administration, follow-up functions, and administrative detail. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn, understand, and apply specific software programs utilized in the Advancement Office. Must also be internet savvy; well organized; able to juggle several duties at once; flexible; and a team player. Receives minimal supervision and independently exercises considerable discretion and judgment in all work areas; may handle confidential and sensitive issues.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalency required; Associates Degree preferred. Applicant must have thorough working knowledge of modern office practices and various computer software packages, be well-organized and attend to details, able to handle sensitive situations, and possess strong verbal and written communications skills with at least five (5) years of full-time employment in the secretarial/administration field. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
