Senior Network Security Administrator
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Senior Network Security Administrator. This position is responsible for managing the efficient utilization, continuity, and security of a multi-platform campus network. Evaluates and installs network software. Troubleshoots and resole network problems. Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures and standards.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field preferred. MSCE certification, Network+/CCNA and CCNP desired. Minimum of three years’ experience as a network systems support specialist or experience with LAN technologies, including multiple network operating systems, routing concepts and protocols, and hierarchical network design. Strong knowledge and experience with PC hardware and software technology as well as UNIX system administration, file interchange, shared network resources, internet access, and electronic mail. Must possess an in-depth knowledge of network cabling, hardware, and operating systems. Must be able to configure and maintain Juniper routers, switches and other networked systems. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
