Supervisor of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Trades
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Supervisor of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Trades. This position is responsible for day-to-day Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) operations. The primary responsibilities are supervision of and coordination of operational functions associated with operational and maintenance activities within the mechanical trades group, and other duties as appropriate. This position requires excellent management skills and a strong background in mechanical trades, controls, general building maintenance and operations, and personnel management.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of seven to ten years’ experience in building and mechanical trades; and supervisory experience in facilities maintenance and repair services. State certified journeyman’s license or equivalent. Working knowledge of building heating, cooling, and control systems. General knowledge of building construction trades. Thorough knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations relative to plant operation and maintenance. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift approximately fifty (50) pounds. Ability to use ladders to work at heights up to approximately thirty-five (35) feet. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and applications. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
