Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater, Film, and Media Studies and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
The department of Theater, Film, and Media Studies and the cross-disciplinary program in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at St. Mary’s College of Maryland are accepting applications for the position of a full-time, two-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning August 2018.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or MFA in film or media studies. Ph.D. or Graduate Certificate in Women’s, Gender, and/or Sexuality Studies strongly preferred. Must be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Applicants with expertise in Black film studies, including African cultures; cyberculture, including social media; and media production are especially encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities will include a range of courses in film and media studies, the gateway course in women, gender, and sexuality studies, and topics courses in area of specialization.
