Melissa also assisted in collecting interviews from teenage mothers, attended heath awareness events, assisted in peaceful protests, prepared posters for a vaccination campaign and attended the opening of a maternity ward.

Sharing her best memory, Jessie said, “I observed the psychologist help an older lady relax. The lady was very upset and it was cool to see how the psychologist helped her calm down. He made her lie down and, keeping a quiet tone of voice, he talked her into a trance and the lady fell asleep. After she woke up, she was a completely different person, calmer and smiling.”
