In the wake of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage issued Friday, June 26, St. Mary’s College Associate Professor of Psychology Renée Peltz Dennison sheds light on the research supporting the growing majority of public opinion on same-sex marriage.
“Contrary to what some conservative lobbying groups like the Family Research Council might tell you, marriage is not currently in crisis. It is more accurate to say that marriage is evolving, like it has been for centuries. As this evolution continues, one distinct trend has emerged–love,” Dennison wrote.
