Shirey Selected as a Southern Maryland Leader

Professor Froom’s original composition commissioned by the National Flute Association

Sydney S. Cunniff ’17 Places Second at Regional Undergraduate Research Symposium

Associate Professor Charles Musgrove Recently Published in Scholarly Journal

SMCM Student’s Photo Published in Chemistry in Pictures

Chemistry student and photographer Lynn Stevens ’19 had a photo published in the American Chemical Society’s Chemistry in Pictures website. Working with Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dan Chase, Stevens combined the chemicals β-ketoiminato boron difluoride and 4-N,N-dimethylbenzaldehyde through a Knoevenagel Condensation resulting in fluorescent dyes. Alumna Participates in Collaborative Conservation Effort

Alumna Nicole Zimmerman ’14, recently spent a week capturing and tagging Columbia spotted frogs in the remote Indian Valley in central Nevada, along with other volunteers and biologists from state and federal agencies. St. Mary’s Project Becomes Basis of Article Published in Science Journal
