Mayumy Rivera (‘16) awarded CLS Scholarship
St. Mary’s student Mayumy Rivera (‘16) has been awarded a Critical Language Scholarship to study Chinese this summer in China. The Critical Language Scholarship is a fully funded summer program overseas language and cultural program, sponsored by the U.S Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Students of International Languages and Cultures Accepted Into Competitive Linguistics Program
Out of a nationwide pool of applicants, Joey Haavik ’17 and Benjamin Allen ’17 recently became two of twelve students accepted into a competitive five-week Linguistics Field School that focuses on the preservation of endangered languages. Greta Cady ’17 Awarded Scholarship for Japan Study Abroad
Greta Cady ’17 has been awarded the JASSO Scholarship for Study Abroad in Japan. Cady will study at Akita International University for a semester.
