Asian cultures are some of the oldest in the world. People from Asia have moved to other parts of the world and helped shape cultures in places like the Americas, Europe, Australia and Africa. Asia is home to many different civilizations that go back thousands of years. It also includes some of the world\u2019s biggest countries and strongest economies. Because of this, learning about Asia helps students understand major parts of the world.<\/p>\n

Students are encouraged to study Asian languages, like Chinese, and take part in study abroad programs. St. Mary\u2019s College offers programs in Japan, Thailand and other countries. Asian Studies is a good choice for students interested in global careers, such as working in international business, government or the United Nations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>
