These projects help you learn by doing real science, not just reading about it in class. You\u2019ll also get better at solving problems and thinking like a scientist. Here are some examples of what students and teachers are studying:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How antidepressant-like compounds create behavioral changes (Dr. Aileen Bailey)<\/li>\n<li>How drugs affect the brain, and how hormones and the environment influence drug addiction and relapse (Dr. Torry Dennis)<\/li>\n<li>How brain stimulation can change the way we think and how brain activity can help us predict behavior. Many neuroscience students choose to complete an SMP that involves a hands-on, empirical research experience in one of our neuroscience laboratories.
