Each of our residences plays a part in promoting an excellent living experience. There are a wide variety of housing options for students, depending on class standing and preferences. Our housing options are broken up in two parts: South Campus and North Campus.<\/p>\n<p>Our South Campus housing options include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traditional residence halls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, there are options to live in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smcm.edu\/residencelife\/housing\/speciality-housing\/\">specialty housing<\/a>, such as Women in Science Housing, Substance- and Alcohol-Free Environment housing, and Open &amp; Inclusive Housing.<\/p>\n<h2>Residences by Year<\/h2>\n<p>Most first year students start off in our traditional residence halls which provide more staff supervision, programming, and support:<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 598px;\" width=\"818\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>Building<\/th>\n<th>Info<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Caroline<\/b><\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Built in 1970.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Houses <em>only<\/em> first year students.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Houses approximately 158 residents. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coed by floor.
