We ask that you unload your belongings quickly to the curb outside your residence hall and then move your vehicle to Lot T.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Check-in<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Students will receive a signup sheet in early August to designate what time they will arrive on campus on move-in day.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will check in at the lobby of their residence hall.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New First Year Students will transition to orientation at approximately 2:30 p.m. on move-in day! Transfer student orientation will start shortly after the move-in period has concluded.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>You will be given important information when you check in, including:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Your SMCM ID card<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 This will give you access to your residence hall, activates the laundry machines, and activates your meal plan, flex and debit accounts.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A schedule<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Listing activities for Orientation Weekend.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Your room key<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Put this in a safe place. Do not duplicate it or give it out to anyone.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Room Condition Report (RCR) instructions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 You should conduct a thorough inspection of your room and note any items that are damaged or missing. This form needs to be submitted electronically within the first two weeks of classes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A helpful information list<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Provided by offices around campus.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Orientation<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For more information on Orientation Activities, please go to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smcm.edu\/newstudents\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Student Information website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h3>Resources<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smcm.edu\/about\/location\/directions\/\">Directions &amp; Campus Map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Fall 2025 RETURNING STUDENT MOVE-IN INFORMATION\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Move-In Dates<br \/>\n<\/b><strong>Sunday, August 31, 2025 &#8211; 10:00a.m. &#8211; 5:00p.m.<br \/>\nMonday, September 1, 2025 &#8211; 10:00a.m. &#8211; 5:00p.m.<br \/>\n<\/strong>*Sign-up sheets will be emailed to students so to ensure arrival times are spread out.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Check-in<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sign-Up<\/strong>: You will need to signup for an available check-in time. A specific amount of timeslots will be available during each arrival period; the number of slots will not be changed. Once you signup for a time, you cannot change it. Check-in appointments will not be permitted outside of the above listed times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Guest<\/strong>: Guests are permitted to assist with move-in, but students are encouraged to bring only two guests in order to reduce traffic to and from the residential spaces.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check-In<\/strong>: When you arrive on campus at your scheduled time, you should report to the RA office for your area to check-in.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parking<\/strong>: You are permitted to park your vehicle on the street or in front of your building while unloading your items, but you should move your car to your designated parking lot within<em> 20 minutes of your check-in<\/em>. College Drive will be designated for one-way traffic, entering through the Mattapany entrance. Students should register for a parking pass prior to arrival on campus and returning students can pick up their parking permit as early as August 1, 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Spring 2026<br \/>\nAll Residences Open for Returning Students on Saturday and Sunday, January 17th and 18th starting at 10am.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check-in is required for ALL new and returning students; please make your way to the RA Office for your Residential Area during your selected check-in time. Check-in Selection Sign-up sheets will be emailed to all students in late December\/early January.
