Contactless\/Express Check-out is available for all students. See Express Checkout below. Students returning to their room for the spring semester do not need to fully move-out and return their room key.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><b>Spring Semester (May <span class=\"highlight\">2026<\/span>) Closing:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Hall Closing<\/b> for everyone except graduates and students living on campus for the summer is\u00a0<b><span class=\"highlight\">May 12, 2026 by 12noon<\/span><\/b>\u00a0or 24 hours after your last final (whichever comes first). Contactless\/Express Check-out is available for all students. See Express Checkout below.<\/p>\n<p>Hall Closing for Graduating Seniors is May <span class=\"highlight\">16t<\/span><span class=\"highlight\">h <\/span>following the commencement ceremony. Students living in residence halls and suites are required to depart by 3pm; students living in apartments and townhouses are required to depart by 5pm.<\/p>\n<p><b>Summer Transition <span class=\"highlight\">(May 2026)<\/span><\/b><br \/>\nApproved Summer Residents will transition from Spring to Summer housing<span class=\"highlight\">.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"highlight\">The week following Commencement.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Move Out Steps<\/h2>\n<p>To ensure a smooth move-out, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Clean your room\/unit <\/strong><strong>and <\/strong><strong>take trash to dumpsters.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Remove all personal items<\/strong>. RAs will not complete your checkout unless all personal items have been removed from the room\/unit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reset furniture.<\/strong>\u00a0All furniture should go back to where it was originally in your unit. If your beds were bunked, these can remain bunked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Turn lights off.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span id=\":7z.co\" class=\"tL8wMe EMoHub\" dir=\"ltr\">Lock and close windows and blinds.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span id=\":7z.co\" class=\"tL8wMe EMoHub\" dir=\"ltr\">Lock room door before leaving.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Contactless\/Express Checkout.<\/strong> Use key envelopes and lock box located by the RA office door. Break closing directions are listed below.<\/div>\n<div title=\"November 3, 2020 at 10:23:01 AM UTC-5\" data-tooltip=\"November 3, 2020 at 10:23:01 AM UTC-5\"><\/div>\n<div title=\"November 3, 2020 at 10:23:01 AM UTC-5\" data-tooltip=\"November 3, 2020 at 10:23:01 AM UTC-5\">\n<div title=\"November 3, 2020 at 10:23:01 AM UTC-5\"><b>Campus Housing Break Dates <span class=\"highlight\">(2025\/2026):<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div title=\"November 3, 2020 at 10:23:01 AM UTC-5\">\n<ul>\n<li><b><span id=\":7z.co\" class=\"tL8wMe EMoHub\">Thanksgiving Break:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span id=\":7z.co\" class=\"tL8wMe EMoHub\">Residences close at 9pm on Tuesday, November <span class=\"highlight\">25th\u00a0<\/span>and reopen at 2pm\u00a0<span class=\"highlight\">on Sunday, December 1st <\/span><span class=\"highlight\">the following Sunday.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Winter Break:\u00a0<\/b>Residences close at 12noon on Friday, December <span class=\"highlight\">19th <\/span>and reopen at 10am on January<span class=\"colour\"><span class=\"highlight\"> 18th and 19th <\/span><\/span>(sign-up directions will be emailed to residential students).
