A students\u2019 belongings may remain in the room during breaks if they are returning.<\/p>\n<p>Students are required to move-out of their residences no more than 24 hours after their last final exam, or by\u00a0<b> the published hall closing deadlines<\/b>, whichever comes first, (or by the hall closing deadline for other campus breaks &#8211; please review the Move-Out page for details).<\/p>\n<h3>Move Out Steps<\/h3>\n<p>To ensure a smooth move-out, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Clean your room\/unit<\/strong><\/em>. RAs will not complete your checkout unless the room\/unit is clean.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Remove all personal items<\/strong><\/em>. RAs will not complete your checkout unless all personal items have been removed from the room\/unit.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Reset furniture.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0All furniture should go back to where it was originally in your unit. If your beds were bunked, these can remain bunked.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Checkout with an RA OR Use Express Checkout. <\/strong><\/em>Once you have reset the furniture, removed all personal items and trash from your room\/unit and cleaned it, you are all set to bring an RA to your unit to inspect it, collect your key, and complete your checkout.<br \/>\nIf you want to move-out with out a room-inspection, students can do so by using contactless, express check-out (information can be found on the Move-Out page).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<header class=\"entry-header\"><\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>View important dates for break periods!
