The Writing and Speaking Center
The Writing and Speaking Center is a place where writers and speakers come together to talk about the craft of communication. Trained peer tutors are ready to assist you with all your communication needs, from generating ideas in the early stages of writing a paper, to articulating arguments to support the thesis of an assignment that’s well underway, to helping you effectively present your St. Mary’s Project to a mixed audience. Any discipline, any project, any stage — tutors don’t do the work for you, but help you learn how to address your own particular challenges better. As a visitor to the Writing and Speaking Center, you set the agenda, and tutors work with you to help you realize your potential.
The Writing Center is located in the Library, Room 115.
