Faculty - Testing Center <strong>Procedure<\/strong><\/h2><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-4-3-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text\" data-index=\"11\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><h3>Before the Exam<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students are required to lock up all belongings before their test.\u00a0 Testing Center Staff will monitor students as they place all personal items into a storage locker.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please make sure phones, smart watches, and fitbits are off or silenced before placing them in the locker.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coats are not allowed in the Testing Center.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students may be asked to turn their pockets inside out.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students may take the locker key into the Testing Center.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only materials allowed in the Testing Center have been pre approved by the instructor.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><div id=\"panel-4-3-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text\" data-index=\"12\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><h3>During the Exam<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each room is stocked with pencils, ear plugs, paper, rulers, and colored pencils.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a calculator is pre approved by the instructor, the Testing Center will provide a calculator to the student.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All students are required to sign a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Eri6jqDm6-StCe3ug_kMNf5hrRtCwYbV\/edit\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Testing Center Agreement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> each semester.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tests are timed to coincide with the student\u2019s normal class time.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start and stop times are recorded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students are allowed to use the restroom during testing, unless prohibited by your professor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a student takes a restroom break, it is counted toward the time allowed for the exam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students are being monitored via video and audio.\u00a0 The Testing Center does not currently record testing sessions.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instructors are responsible for providing a student\u2019s exam to the Testing Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students are not allowed to use their own calculators or laptops or bring any papers, etc. into the testing room unless the Testing Center has received permission from the professor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a student comes early to the exam, they can sit in the reception area to continue studying until the start time of the exam, or they can start the exam early. However, if they start the exam before the scheduled start time, their end time must be moved up accordingly (they do not get extra time to finish the exam). <\/span><b>Note: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students should not start the exam early unless the instructor has emailed their permission.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because students take their tests at the same time as the rest of their class, if a student shows up late, they do not get extra time.
