Michael Ellis-Tolaydo was born in Kenya and attended high school in England. He is a Graduate of the Academy of Dramatic Art, Oakland University, and received his M.A. from The American University and his M.F.A. in directing from Catholic University. He continues to work as a professional actor and/or director under the name Michael Tolaydo and has worked in those capacities in every one of the U.S. states; he is proud of the fact that he never had to wait tables during that time!
