Box Office

For our assisted hearing patrons: The Bruce Davis Theater is equipped with a hearing assistance system. If you would like assistance, please ask one of the Box Office managers for a receiver when you pick up and pay for your tickets. Students who require a receiver will be asked to leave their student ID at the Box Office until the receiver is returned; non-students will be asked to leave their driver's license.

Fall 2011

• August 30, classes begin (delayed one day due to Hurricane Irene).
• August 30, 7:30-8:30 p.m.+, TFMS Open House, Bruce Davis Theater, MH. All welcome to attend.
• August 31, 6:00-10:00 p.m., auditions for As You Like It, by William Shakespeare, directed by Michael Ellis-Tolaydo, Bruce Davis Theater, MH. Callbacks are scheduled for Thursday, September 1, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Bruce Davis Theater, MH.
• September 5, Labor Day holiday. School in session (makeup day due to Hurricane Irene).
• September 27-28, 8:30-11:00 p.m., in MH 103, interviews of SMCM students, conducted by guest playwright-director Caleen Sinnette Jennings, for the new, collaborative performance piece, St. Mary's Hear and Now.
• October 10-11, Fall Reading Days. No classes.
• October 13-15 & 20-22 at 8:00 p.m., October 16 & 23 at 2:00 p.m., performances of As You Like It, by William Shakespeare, directed by Michael Ellis-Tolaydo, Bruce Davis Theater, MH. For reservations, contact 240-895-4243 or e-mail boxoffice@smcm.edu. Ticket prices $4 and $6.

• December 9, last day of regularly scheduled classes; exams begin December 12.

• January/February (dates, times, location, TBD), auditions for The Big Picture app?, an original, collaborative performance project conceived and directed by Merideth Taylor.
• February 6, 13, & 20, weekly Monday evening screenings at 8:15 p.m., Fifth Annual TFMS Film Series: Feminist Film and Filmmakers. With the participation of Yun Suh ("City of Borders," 2009), Jenny Cool ("Home Economics: a documentary of suburbia," 1994), and Michèle Stephenson ("Faces of Change," 2005). Cole Cinema, Campus Center. Free and open to the public.
• March 12, Spring Break begins; classes resume March 19.
• March 29-31 & April 5-7 at 8:00 p.m., April 1 & 7 at 2:00 p.m., performances of The Big Picture app?, an original, collaborative performance project conceived and directed by Merideth Taylor, Bruce Davis Theater, MH.
