St. Mary’s College of Maryland offers an assortment of housing facilities for residential conferences and camps. With its comfortable accommodations and fully-equipped meeting spaces, the campus provides an ideal environment for residential groups.
Camps with minors benefit from the fun and secure environment provided by our small walking campus. We also offer a wide array of activities, such as beach access and athletics and recreation facilities.
Housing Options
Conference and camp housing is available in any of eight residence halls based on availability. We offer four different types of accommodations based on your group’s needs:

Traditional Dormitories

St. Mary’s College has four traditional dormitory residence halls. Traditional dorms are three-story structures with no elevators. However, all halls have one or more levels that are ADA accessible.
Every floor is comprised of two wings with a common bathroom on each wing (two per floor). Each building has a shared kitchen on the bottom floor, as well as shared laundry facilities.
Most rooms accommodate two guests, though some single rooms are available upon request. Standard furnishings provided for each resident include a twin bed with extra-long mattress, desk, chair, one dresser, and one wardrobe or closet.
Special dormitory amenities include:

Suites

St. Mary’s College has two buildings containing suites: Lewis Quadrangle (occupancy 212) and Waring Commons (occupancy 236). Each suite consists of several multiple-occupancy bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large common area.
Suites can host between 6 – 14 people, depending on your preferences. We also have many one-level suites that are ADA accessible.
Standard furnishings for each resident in Lewis Quad and Waring Commons suites include twin bed with extra-long mattress, desk, chair, one dresser, and one wardrobe or closet. In addition, each common area includes a sofa, coffee table, upholstered chairs, and a trestle table with chairs. Note: suites do not have individual kitchens.

Townhouses

St. Mary’s College offers two townhouse-style residential areas. “The Greens” Townhouse development consists of 41 air-conditioned houses arranged around a central green space – they provide a great view of the St. Mary’s River! The Crescent Townhouse development consists of 38 air-conditioned houses arranged in a crescent shape around the athletic field.
All townhouses are double occupancy. Most are two-story, with a furnished living room, full kitchen, and dining area on the first floor and two double-occupancy bedrooms and bathroom on the second floor. We also have several “flats,” which have all rooms on ground level for ADA accessibility.
The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator and stove with oven.

Waring Commons hosts 24 apartment-style residences arranged around a central green space. Apartments contain four single-occupancy bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, and a full kitchen.
The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator and stove with oven.
All bedrooms are furnished with an extra-long twin bed, a dresser, a desk, and a closet or wardrobe. In addition, each common area includes a sofa, coffee table, upholstered chairs, and a trestle table with chairs.

Residential Rates
Residential rates are calculated per person, per day. In addition to lodging, the accommodation rates include:
- 3 meals per day* served in the campus dining hall
- Additional facility rental, media equipment, and furniture set up
- Event support from our Events & Conferences staff
*Weekend meal availability is dependent on size of the group and the number of groups on campus.
Dining
The Great Room
From international cuisine to home-style options, from salad bar to pizza bar, the Great Room offers something delicious for everyone.
In addition to providing tastes from around the world, this all you care to eat buffet-style dining facility also caters to a wide range of dietary needs and food sensitivities. Plus, the Great Room sources much of its produce and beef from local farmers, making it a sustainable solution during your time at St. Mary’s.

On-Site Catering
On site catering is available through St. Mary’s College’s resident catering company, Bon Appétit*.
