Step 1 Enrolling In Password Manager & Resetting Your Password
Don't have a password yet, or think it's expired? Don't click links in unsolicited emails claiming to have your credentials. Instead, email itsupport@smcm.edu or call the OIT Support Desk directly at (240) 895-4357 to verify your account status.
Step 2 Installing Microsoft Authenticator & Turning On 2-step Verification
All students, staff, and faculty must install the Microsoft Authenticator app and enable 2-Step Verification for their SMCM email account.
Having trouble, or got a new device? Contact OIT directly — call 240-895-4357 or email itsupport@smcm.edu (only if you initiated contact — OIT will never ask you to verify your password or click a link to "fix" your MFA).
Step 3 Receiving Your New Onecard
To receive your new OneCard, please visit OIT during operational hours:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
The Office of Information Technology is located by Baltimore Hall, underneath the archway of the library.
If you have not uploaded a photo for your ID, you may have your photo taken at OIT, or you may upload your photo using the GET app or at the GET website
