Winter Operations & Snow Removal
During winter weather, the Grounds Department shifts into full operations mode to maintain campus safety.
Before snow begins, crews pre-treat walkways, roads, and parking lots. As conditions develop, teams work continuously—often on a 24-hour cycle—to plow roads, clear sidewalks, and maintain safe access to building entrances, steps, ramps, and accessible pathways.
Environmentally conscious materials, including salt and EcoMag ice melt, are used to manage icy conditions.
