Library faculty are valuable research partners and are enthusiastic about supporting SURF students. Whether you're developing your proposal or conducting research during the summer, they can provide guidance on research methods, academic writing, and finding and evaluating sources.

Amanda VerMeulen works with faculty librarians, professional staff, and student employees to provide library services to the SMCM community.

• How people interact with digital environments
• The impact of color and design on user experience

Shane Moran oversees the College Archives, preserving institutional records and supporting research for students, faculty, staff, and community members.

• Community memory and cultural preservation
• The development of culture and historical narratives
• American foreign policy and Cold War political history
