What Does the Bradford Persistent Agent Allow Us to See?
St. Mary's College requires that all computers connected to ResNet have the Bradford Persistent Agent installed. This allows us to enforce the new policy requiring operating system updates, plus anti-virus and anti-spyware programs with current definition updates. A number of students have expressed concerns about the extent of the information that the Persistent Agent makes available to network administrators about registered computers. The software does not give us access to your passwords or your personal files and data. It also does not allow us to see your desktop or monitor your activity. Here are screen shots of each of the client windows available in Campus Manager. Information is available on three tabs: Adapters, Host and User.
The Adapters tab shows properties of each of the network interfaces on a computer:

The Host tab shows general information about the host device. The Host-Adapters tab shows a list of physical addresses of the network adapters:

The Host-Applications tab lists details for each of the categories managed by the policy applied to a computer:

St. Mary's College administrators manually enter information in the Host-Notes tab, such as disabling a client for copyright violation:

The Host-Health tab shows the status of all scans performed by Campus Manager:

Clicking on the Show History button of the Host-Health tab shows a list of all scans performed and their results:

Clicking on any line in the History window shows detailed results for that scan:

The Host-Logged In Users tab shows the users logged into this host:

The User-Logged In Hosts tab lists hosts registered to this user that are currently logged onto the
