Barrett Emerick presented at the UK-SWIP (Society for Women in Philosophy) conference, "Feminist Epistemology and Philosophical Traditions," in November. The title of his paper was "A Defense of Doxastic and Affective Voluntarism."

Joni Jones
Professor
Performance Studies

Joni Jones is a professor of performance studies at the University of Texas and a practicing artist-activist. In addition to her participation in the Austin Project, Jones has facilitated a number of Theatre for Social Change workshops for the Forum on Governance and Democracy in Ile-Ife.  Jones' dramaturgical work includes con flama for Frontera at Hyde Park Theatre, Clay Angels for New World Theatre in Amherst, Massachusetts, and Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery and Pill Hill for First Stage Productions in Austin, Texas.

In "The Austin Project Archive: Experiments in a Jazz Aesthetic", Jones will consider how artistic approaches outside of the art world, especially jazz, can transform the work of social change for women of color worldwide.
