Keep (or Reactivate) Your SMCM Google Account
- Contact the Office of Information of Technology (OIT) to maintain access to your @smcm.edu email and Google account after graduation.
- Your username will remain the same: “username@smcm.edu”
- OIT may ask you to set a new password during the onboarding process.
Get Your Alumni OneCard
Get (or Replace) Your Alumni OneCard ID
- To obtain your alumni OneCard, please stop by the Office of Information Technology (OIT), located in between the Library archways.
- Be prepared to pay an initial administrative fee of $25 or a $25 replacement fee to replace a lost OneCard.
- You will be asked to provide valid photo identification, such as a state driver’s license, fill out paperwork and have your photo taken on-site.
Gain Access to Campus Facilities
- Visit the Teddy Turner Waterfront and the James P. Muldoon River Center to check out kayaks, flying junior sailboats and paddle boards at no cost - just pony up your SMCM OneCard or photo ID. Consult with waterfront staff to arrange safety lessons, sailing lessons or to learn a little bit more about our historic patch of shore.
- Alumni are provided free membership to the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center (MPOARC). Household relatives are offered membership for a $300 annual fee, comparable to a $25 monthly fee at private gyms. Just flash your SMCM OneCard ID upon inquiry.
- At the Hilda C. Landers Library & Archives, alumni may borrow materials, use the library computers and make requests using Interlibrary Loan. Perfect for alumni considering further studies and looking to scratch that academic itch.
Request Your Transcript
Transcript requests are handled through the Office of the Registrar via the National Student Clearinghouse, an online service that allows current students and alumni to order transcripts and track their orders via the web at any time. Consult the Office of the Registrar for more information.
Alumni Scholarships
Financing Further Education for Alumni
- All requested materials must be submitted through the online application form by midnight on April 15 to be considered for a scholarship. Decisions will be announced on or before July 1.
- If you have any questions about your eligibility for a particular scholarship or anything else, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumnioffice@smcm.edu or (240) 895-4280.
- Applications will open in Spring 2026.
Don Stabile Alumni Post-Graduate Scholarship
Established in 2013, the Don Stabile Alumni Post-Graduate Scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating student or alumna/us pursuing graduate studies. The $2,500 scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable award. However, former awardees may receive more than one award by reapplying in subsequent years. In addition, an applicant who does not receive an award one year may apply for an award in subsequent years.
Award
- The $2,500 award check will be mailed after the conditions outlined below are met, including the submission of transcript(s) and “Intent to Accept Award” form.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be a degree-holding alumna/us from St. Mary’s College of Maryland (or one of its predecessor schools), or a graduating senior from St. Mary’s College of Maryland
- Applicants must be applying to, or enrolled in, a full-time, degree-seeking post-graduate program at any accredited college or university in the United States or a recognized college or university abroad
Conditions
- Recipients must return the “Intent to Accept Award” form with signature by July 30. (The award check will not be sent until this is received.)
- Recipients must submit transcripts from SMCM and any post-SMCM institutions to the Office of Alumni Relations, if applicable. (The award check will not be sent until this is received.)
- Recipients must return the full award to the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Foundation if they do not finish out the academic year at their post-graduate institution.
Don Stabile Alumni Doctoral Scholarship
Established in 2011, the Don Stabile Alumni Doctoral Scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating student or alumna/us who pursues a Ph.D. in one of the liberal arts disciplines. The $5,000 scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable award. However, former awardees may receive more than one award by reapplying in subsequent years. In addition, an applicant who does not receive an award one year may apply for an award in subsequent years.

- The $5,000 award check will be mailed after the conditions outlined below are met, including the submission of transcript(s) and “Intent to Accept Award” form.
