Multi-Factor Authentication – 2025
To enhance cybersecurity and safeguard College systems, the Office of Information
Technology (OIT) is implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all faculty, staff,
and students. Starting December 1, 2025, MFA will be required to access College accounts.
This added layer of protection ensures that only you can access your information—even if
your password is compromised.
Cybersecurity Training
All students, faculty, and staff are required to complete cybersecurity training. You will receive an individual notice with the training link and deadlines.

ERP Migration
Investing in the future of St. Mary’s College of Maryland and enhancing the overall student/staff/faculty experience, SMCM is replacing the antiquated Jenzabar system with software that embraces Cloud architecture. This Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) effort will improve productivity, increase efficiencies, streamline processes, and decrease the overall cost of doing business. The new ERP will be phased in over two years starting with HR and Finance operations and culminate with the Student go-live on October 8, 2024.
