The Mulberry Music Festival was established during the tenure of President Emerita Tuajuanda Jordan as part of the College’s Juneteenth recognition and has been an important part of that tradition.
As part of a broader review of the College’s event portfolio, the Mulberry Music Festival will transition from its current format as a signature College-sponsored event.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland remains committed to honoring Juneteenth through meaningful campus engagement and educational programming. Under the leadership of President Rhonda G. Phillips, Ph.D., the College is evaluating future music and cultural programming to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and long-term sustainability.
Details about this year’s Summer Concert Series, scheduled to begin Friday, June 19, in recognition of Juneteenth, will be shared soon.
