Semester in BORDEAUX
Students with an advanced-level of knowledge in French enroll directly in content courses alongside French peers at Bordeaux 3, a public university located in southwestern France near the Pyrenees and border with Spain.

How To Apply
Phase 1: Apply to the Program
Applicants for Sciences Po need to have completed two years of college prior to study at Sciences Po and meet the minimum GPA of 3.0 In addition, students who wish to apply for the French language track need to have completed two upper-level (300 or above) French courses prior to studying abroad. Students who wish to pursue the English or mixed track need to also have experience with French.
The following forms are due to the Office of International Education by:
October 15 for spring semester study abroad
March 1 for fall semester study abroad

Nomination by e-mail from SMCM faculty member sent to ie@smcm.edu. If you are pursuing study in the French track, this nomination must be from the ILC faculty program adviser for Sciences Po. If you are pursuing the English or mixed track, you must have two nominations: one from the ILC faculty program adviser for Sciences Po and a second from your adviser or a faculty member advocating for your participation in the academic program at Sciences Po. |

Online program nomination. Please contact IE Office to schedule an appointment to complete the online program nomination once SMCM faculty nomination is confirmed. |

Once online nomination is complete, an email will be sent from Sciences Po to the nominee providing a link to the online application with a username and password. |
| Applicants are then required to log in and follow the instructions to submit application form and upload supporting documents by Sciences Po's deadline. | |

Mandatory Pre-departure Meeting
Study-abroad students are required to attend two mandatory pre-departure meetings in the semester prior to study abroad.
For Summer 2012, Fall 2012, and Academic Year 2012-13 the pre-departure meetings are as follows:
Part I - Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 4:30-6:00pm
Part II - Sciences Po and Bordeaux Programs Pre-departure - Thursday, March 29, 2012 - 4:00pm - Cobb House Living Room
Phase 2: Pre-Departure

April 15 for fall semester study abroad
