Managing for Results (MFR)
The MFR report is submitted annually to the State of Maryland’s Department of Budget and Management (DBM). It contains a list of SMCM’s key goals and numerical performance measures. It is accompanied by the Performance Accountability Report, a written analysis of how the institution is meeting those goals. The MFR reports from all state agencies are published and made available to the Governor, the legislature, and the public. The annual “budget books” are available here on DBM’s website; the MFRs are in Operating Budget, Vol. 3.
Performance Accountability Report (PAR)
The PAR is submitted annually to the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC). It is a written narrative that accompanies the Managing for Results report, which is the list of SMCM’s key goals and numerical performance measures. The SMCM report is included in the overall PAR for all of Maryland’s public colleges and universities, which is then sent to the Governor and the legislature, and made available to the public.
