Our food service program is an “all you can eat” operation. First-year resident students are required to be on one of three meal plans.
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors living in traditional residence halls or suites have a choice of four meal plans.
All other students may elect one of the optional meal plans.
Eat When You Like
Our meal plans provide for expanded dining hours throughout the day in the Campus Center’s Great Room, our main dining hall:
- Weekdays: 7 am – 8:30 pm
- Weekends: 10 am – 8:30 pm
In addition to the Great Room, you can also get an early morning coffee or a late night snack at the Daily Grind in the Campus Center or at The Pub, located in Lewis Quad. We also offer a Grab-n-Go option during the week at The Pub. You won’t go hungry at St. Mary’s College!
St. Mary’s Buys Local & Stays Green
St. Mary’s College and Bon Appétit have partnered in a “farm to fork” effort where organic produce grown by students at the campus farm is bought by Bon Appétit and used in daily menus. The pair also work with the Southern Maryland So Good campaign to bring locally produced agricultural products, seafood, free-range poultry, and naturally raised beef and poultry products to the campus.
Students often like to dine outside on the Campus Center patio when the weather is nice. Thanks to a group effort of students, staff, and administration, we now operate on a reusable to-go box system.
What does this mean for the environment?
It means no more styrofoam waste, reducing our campus’s carbon footprint and strengthening our commitment to being an environmentally friendly campus.
