MASTER PLANNING: PHASE I NEEDS ANALYSIS

Phase I of the Facilities Master Plan is an assessment of facility needs and observations concerning the organization and layout of the campus.  Phase I began last spring and is concluding this fall with a series of reports defining facilities needs.  The needs and issues identified in Phase I will form the foundation for Phase II of the master planning process which involves the development of alternatives beginning in spring 2013.

Phase I of the Master Plan has been developed concurrently with College strategic planning efforts.  The facility needs identified in Phase I will provide a baseline from which strategic initiatives can be tested. A final facilities master plan should be completed by the end of the 2013 spring semester.

The planning process to date has included significant input from the campus community.  Stakeholder workshops were held last spring to collect information from the campus community, follow-up meetings have been held with academic departments, and preliminary findings are being reviewed with the Master Plan Task Force.
