There’s nothing like visiting St. Mary’s College of Maryland, The National Public Honors College. From our stunning 360-acre waterfront campus to our vibrant community, you’ll quickly see why students from across the country choose SMCM.

Now, visiting campus comes with even more value! We are pleased to introduce the Discover SMCM Grant of $1000 for MD/DC residents and $2000 for non MD/DC residents to make your visit even more beneficial.

It’s our way of saying thank you for taking the time to visit campus and discover what makes SMCM so special.

How it works

    1. Schedule and complete your official campus visit by:
      • December 1, 2025, if applying for the Spring or Fall 2026 semester.
      • December 1, 2026, if applying for the Spring or Fall 2027 semester.
    2. Apply and be admitted to SMCM.
    3. Enroll, and your one-time Discover SMCM Grant will be applied to your first year’s charges
      • $500 on your first semester bill and $500 on your second semester bill (for MD/DC residents).
      • $1000 on your first semester bill and $1000 on your second semester bill (for non MD/DC residents).

If you have already visited campus, good news, the grant will be retroactively applied for visiting during your junior or senior year of high school—or, for transfer students, the year before enrolling—provided all requirements are met.

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act, SMCM publishes an Annual Security & Fire Safety Report. The report contains information regarding campus safety and security including crime reporting, crime prevention, college policies, drug and alcohol abuse, and sexual misconduct. The report also contains the three previous years’ crime and fire statistics for on campus locations, non-campus locations and adjacent public property.
