Welcome to Physics!

This site introduces you to the Physics faculty, staff, current students, and alumni and their current activities, our course offerings, and the requirements for the physics major and minor.

The educational goal of the physics major at St. Mary's College of Maryland is to develop an understanding of fundamental principles, concepts, and models of physical phenonmena. The major prepares students for further studies at graduate schools or careers in a variety of industries.
