Kate Fritz serves as the CEO for the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, a position she has held for the last seven years. She earned a BA in Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and an Executive Masters in Natural Resource Management from Virginia Tech. Her 20-year career has been focused on water resource management in the Chesapeake Bay, specifically focusing on the intersection of people and environmental restoration. Kate enjoys traveling the watershed with her fly rod, exploring some of the most beautiful places in the Chesapeake region. Currently, she serves as the President of the SMCM Alumni Council, which includes serving a term with the Board of Trustees.
