We are pleased to announce that St. Mary’s College of Maryland now offers a new major in Environmental Studies. In the first week of classes, we will be holding an open meeting to explain the requirements of the new major and to offer open advising sessions in the Campus Center so students can explore the possibility of becoming a major.

Graduating seniors who are already ENST minors may be able to complete the environmental studies major requirements by May 2016 along with their current major if they make appropriate adjustments to their schedule this semester and next semester, so it is very important that students interested in this possibility attend the information sessions and receive appropriate advising.

  • Step 1: Attend the Open Meeting on Mon. Aug 31, 4:45-6:00pm in Cole Cinema when the major and minor requirements and important transition protocols will be explained with a Q & A session.
  • Step 2: Come to one of the two open advising times listed below. Bring a print out of your academic course record to one of the open advising times. ENST faculty and advisors will help you understand the major and minor requirements and evaluate transcripts to see what requirements still need to be fulfilled.
