The neurosciences investigate the biological and chemical bases of behavior, including such the molecular and cellular basis of neural functioning and how systems of neurons relate to behavior. The minor provides a strong introduction to the neurosciences for undergraduate liberal arts students regardless of their major.
As a student of the Neurosciences, you will accomplish the following:
- Obtain a strong foundation in the content, issues, and methodology of the field of neuroscience.
- Learn to integrate knowledge across disciplines comprising the neurosciences (biology, chemistry, and psychology).
- Develop research and analytical skills through first-hand experiences conducting original empirical research.
