Summer LaRocco ‘26 is the current Student Trustee, pursuing a degree in Asian Studies and English with minors in Chinese and Educational Studies.
As the Student Trustee, LaRocco represents the student body by reporting a clear view of student life on campus to the Board and reporting college-wide developments to students. She is dedicated to serving as a bridge between the student body and the Board of Trustees, ensuring smooth communication, transparency, and dedication in her work. She is also committed to bringing St. Mary’s College to the international stage, serving as a Fulbright-Hays fellow at Tamkang University in Taipei, Taiwan, and performing with and serving as an interpreter for the Romanian Philharmonic Orchestra during the Alba Music Festival in Alba, Italy.
LaRocco is deeply committed to the future of the college, and serves as a public face as a Student Ambassador Coordinator in the Office of Admission. In this capacity, she gives guided tours to prospective students and sits for student panels that present the student experience at the college to prospective students and parents. She is also deeply involved in student affairs, serving as the Music Director for the College’s all-gender a capella club, InterChorus, and as the Secretary for the Asian Pacific Islander American Culture Club (APAC). LaRocco has previously served as a Commuter Senator and the Vice President of the Class of 2026 in the Student Government Association. LaRocco is from Leonardtown, Maryland.
