Student Learning Assessment
Assessment of student learning is a collaborative effort between the faculty, staff, Academic Affairs, and OIRP. See Institutional Learning Outcomes. Contact Liz Leininger, Coordinator of Transparent Teaching and Assessment, at ecleininger@smcm.edu for more information.
The Transparent Teaching and Assessment (TTAC) site, also managed by Liz Leininger, provides various resources to SMCM faculty to support best practices of transparent teaching and assessment of student learning and the management of SMCM assessment protocols.
Our student learning assessment management platform is HelioCampus (aka AEFIS). Log in with your SMCM credentials.
Administrative Assessment
All administrative offices at SMCM take part in administrative assessment to track institutional effectiveness. Assessment plans are submitted annually. Midterm progress updates are submitted in February, and final assessment reports in June. The vice presidents are responsible for approving and overseeing assessment in their divisions.
OIRP coordinates the preparation and collection of assessment documentation, and maintains an administrative assessment handbook.
