Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology in Neurobiology
The Department of Biology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology in Neurobiology beginning August 2025. We seek a neurobiologist with demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate education and mentorship, who will support both the Biology and Neuroscience programs. Teaching responsibilities include participating in biology and neuroscience core courses as needed (Contemporary Biosciences, Principles of Biology I, Principles of Biology II, Genetics, Ecology and Evolution, Introduction to Neuroscience laboratory) and upper division electives in Neurobiology, Topics in Neuroscience, and related topics.
Ph.D. required; postdoctoral training and/or teaching experience preferred. We seek candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as maintaining an active research program that has the potential to involve undergraduates. The successful candidate must produce the necessary documentation to legally work in the U.S upon hire. The salary range is $70k-$77k, depending on qualifications and experience.
