Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)
Our 10-month program will give students a strong knowledge base and understanding of child and adolescent development. If you want to succeed in schools, this is the place to start. The MAT program is a strong community of students, faculty, and staff that join together to ensure a brighter future for the children they teach.
Environmental Studies Dual Degree Program
Accelerate your career in environmental leadership through the 3+2 partnership between St. Mary’s College of Maryland and Bard College’s Center for Environmental Policy. This dual degree program allows highly motivated students to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in just five years—integrating interdisciplinary graduate coursework with real-world professional experience.

Dual-Degree Engineering Program
SMCM has a dual-degree program agreement with McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. This program allows students to spend 3 or 4 years at SMCM earning their first degree (a bachelors), then transfer to Washington University to earn an engineering degree, either a bachelors (2 years) or a both a bachelors and a masters (3 years).
Health Sciences Advisory Committee (HSAC)
The Health Sciences Advisory Committee (HSAC) stands to provide advice and guidance to students interested in preparing for graduate programs in the health sciences. We advise any student from any major interested in a career in health sciences. We have worked with students as far as ten years post graduation to help them with their files.
