Program Coordinator in the Office of Student Success Services
St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting résumés for the position of Program Coordinator, serving in the Office of Student Success Services. Responsibilities include performing complex duties such as student staff recruitment, hiring, supervision and payroll, academic advisor assignments, marketing, and general office support to include record keeping, organizing meetings, coordinating special projects, managing budget and administrative details, and assisting the department staff in implementing departmental functions. Must be well organized and possess excellent administrative skills. Receives minimal supervision and independently exercises considerable discretion and judgment in all work areas; handles confidential and sensitive issues.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Applicant must have at least two (2) years of higher education experience, preferably in a student-facing function, ability to manage and supervise student employees, train students, and handle payroll. Must have thorough working knowledge of modern office practices and various computer software packages, be well-organized and attend to details, able to handle sensitive situations, possess strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work occasionally on Saturdays and Sundays, and possibly on some weeknights. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check. Salary range is $54,000-$57,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
