Good morning. It is a pleasure being here today. I am honored to have been invited to make the keynote address at this august event. I apologize for not being able to be here from the beginning. I have just given the keynote address at the St. Mary’s County Human Relations Commission’s breakfast on the importance of volunteerism and I very much appreciate the organizers of this important event for tweaking their schedule to accommodate mine!

President Jordan addressed a room of leaders from various sectors of the region as part of a Leaders in Higher Education panel during a Leadership Southern Maryland event held held Thursday, Dec. 5 at the College of Southern Maryland’s Prince Frederick campus.
President Jordan and a group of SMCM students celebrate reaching nearly half of the Giving Tuesday donor goal early in the day on the College's annual giving day. SMCM reached its goal of 3,000 donors including 1,000 alumni donors during the campaign.
