Katherine Gagnon is an artist, writer and curator based in Baltimore, MD. She holds a MFA from the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art and a BA in Art History and Studio Art from Colby College. Gagnon participated in the Advanced Painting Intensive at Columbia University during the summer of 2011. In 2014 she presented her research, “Art as Communication” at the International Association of Word and Image Studies Conference and the Annual Scottish Word and Image Group Conference at the University of Dundee, Scotland. Residencies include Art Farm (Nebraska) and most recently being the first MICA-SMCM Artist House Teaching Fellow in Residence at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. www.katherinegagnon.com
