Anne Arundel Hall Update – Exteriors, Windows, and More
The building exteriors are mostly complete with work on the connector bridges underway. Soon the windows at the bridges will be installed closing in the building. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins are mostly complete with mechanical equipment start-ups to begin in the next week or so. Interior finishes such as drywall installation and and painting are underway.
Anne Arundel Hall Update – Roof Being Installed
The last roofing beam was installed on Thursday, October 29th. With the roof steel now in place, the plywood sheathing is being installed.

Structural steel beams for most of the north building roof have been installed. The metal roof pans will be installed next week. The installation of the structural steel beams on the south building roof will begin once the roof pans are installed on the north building.

Anne Arundel Hall Update
Wood beams for the Blackistone Room have been installed and water proofing of the exterior masonry is in progress. The north building masonry gable ends are installed and in progress in the south building. The west building attic slab and north building gable end cap beam will be placed this week. In addition, the geothermal wells are in the process of being drilled.
Anne Arundel Hall Construction is Progressing Well
The wood structure that you see close to Route 5 is the exposed wood beams that are located in the ceiling of the Blackistone Room. The metal decking for the attic floor is being installed in the north and south buildings. The concrete form work for the west building attic ring beam is in progress. The well drilling for the geothermal heating and cooling system is underway.
Anne Arundel Hall – New Path Route in Preparation for Geothermal Well Drilling
The Anne Arundel Hall Replacement project is progressing well. With progress comes a few changes. The asphalt path behind the Parish Hall is now closed and the construction fencing has been moved out to enclose this area. Soon you will see in this area the well drilling rig that will install the 56 Geothermal Wells which will be used to heat and cool the three buildings.
The asphalt path behind the Post Office has been widened and will be the main path of travel to and from the historic side of campus until construction is complete. Signage will be placed to facilitate travel through the area. ADA access to the historic side of campus will be via the new sidewalks along Rt. 5 to the River Center crosswalk at Trinity Church Rd. As always, be aware of your surroundings and use care in your travels. Please refer to the graphic diagram below which depicts the new walking/access areas.
Anne Arundel Hall – Additional Concrete and Masonry Structures Placed
This past week at the Anne Arundel Hall work site, additional concrete and masonry structures were being placed. The north building walls are close to being full height. The south and west buildings second floor exterior walls are now being constructed. Construction on the roof structure will soon begin.
The Anne Arundel Hall Foundations are Complete
Construction of the Anne Arundel Hall building is progressing nicely. Foundations are complete and contractors are presently constructing the concrete and masonry walls and floors that make up the building structures. The first floor walls are complete and the second floor decks and walls are in progress. Soon we will see the steel roof structure being erected.
