Brendan Benge, a political science major, was selected in January 2016 to receive the William Donald Schaefer Legislative Internship. Brendan will spend much of his time in Annapolis where he will have a unique opportunity to assist in the representation of SMCM in the politics and administration of state government. In this capacity, Brendan will research and summarize bills, manage legislative hearing schedules, and attend hearings; he may have the opportunity to testify at hearings.
